According to the patch notes, the recent round of resolutions should make it easier for players to find matches in Big Team Battle mode. Also, 343 included a handful of gameplay changes as well. For example, if you’ve been playing BTB maps over the weekend, you’ll notice an increase in Scorpion Tanks and Wraiths all around you. Finally, 343 addressed an ongoing and frustrating issue with the join-in-progress feature that sometimes put players in BTB matches that are nearly over. Although Big Team Battle has received a lot of praise since Halo Infinite’s release, it hasn’t been without its flaws. To make matters worse, 343’s previous efforts to fix BTB were all for naught. Because of this, 343 vowed to solve the issues in an earlier statement and it appears that the solution came sooner rather than later. So far, the large-scale mode appears to be working fine since the February 3 patch. Only time will tell if 343 has finally squished the bugs plaguing BTB. If not, it won’t take long for the community to voice out their concerns. On top of the BTB mode, 343 also introduced updates to Oddball where players will play an extra minute in case a round ends in a draw. Unfortunately, this will only happen once. If the round remains tied after, the match ends in a draw. In other news, 343 has confirmed that the Halo TV series on Paramount+ will premiere on March 24 with a brand new trailer.
