Richard Rider is a fan-favorite among Marvel audiences and fans have wanted to see him appear on-screen after the MCU established that the Nova Corps exists through James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy films. Not to mention, Marvel Studios president, Kevin Feige, has clarified in the past that they want to bring Nova into the fold, so it was always a matter of when and not if. It just so happens that the Nova project is finally happening albeit with no clear time frame, at the moment. If Nova does happen, it would be one of the few Marvel shows and films that’s not set on Earth and the first series to be so if it heads to Disney+. Unfortunately, it will be a while before Nova heads to either the big or small screen. Marvel Studios currently has a stacked lineup of shows and films planned going forward, including some that do not have a release date yet like Deadpool 3, She-Hulk, Secret Invasion, and more. But, even if this is the case, we’re hoping that the MCU teases fans with a small on-screen appearance or even a post-credit scene featuring Richard soon. Speaking of teases, the first teaser trailer for the Avatar sequel is expected to premiere right before Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness screens in theaters. Also, if you need proof of how lucky the Nova project is to land Pirzada, you won’t have to look further than Moon Knight, which hits Disney+ on March 30. Finally, one of Moon Knight’s other writers, Jeremy Slater, was also hired to work on the Mortal Kombat sequel.
