Tekken 8 was officially announced during the PlayStation State of Play last September. The reveal showed video footage of Jin Kazama fighting against Kazuya Mishima. The game director for the Tekken series, Katsuhiro Harada, said, “we are very excited to show the next generation of Tekken.” “The team at Bandai Namco Studios has been hard at work to bring groundbreaking new features to Tekken 8, pushing the feeling of power in battles continuously further by harnessing the power of the latest generation of consoles. We can’t wait to show you more in the months to come,” Harada added during the announcement. Hopefully, we’ll have an official release date for Tekken 8 at The Game Awards. There are also reports that EA will be participating in the awards show to reveal the release date of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. The upcoming action-adventure game is a sequel to 2019’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. The Game Awards will be streamed live on YouTube and Twitch on December 8, 2022, at 5 PM PT / 8 PM ET.
