The Last of Us Part 1 initially came out on the PS5 earlier this year. Although it didn’t nudge the sales figures of the award-winning narrative-driven title by as much as Sony would’ve expected, it still won the hearts of audiences and critics alike. Now, The Last of Us Part 1 is coming to the PC on March 3. HBO’s The Last of Us is coming out in less than a month, which makes the current reveal the ideal opportunity to reveal the first game’s launch to a wider audience. Ideally, The Last of Us Part 2 would also be on the PC as well, but that’ll probably come later. For now, we’ll just have to “settle” for The Last of Us Part 1 being played at the highest resolution with maxed-out graphics. The only way Sony could’ve done this better is if it timed the release of The Last of Us Part 1 on the PC alongside the premiere of the series on streaming platforms and cable TV. But, then again, maybe they know better. After all, The Last of Us Part 1 rolls out just before the penultimate episodes of The Last of Us Part 1 air. We’re pretty sure first-time players will be flocking to the remake, if only to find out what happens next ahead of everyone else. We can only imagine the outrage and shock if Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann pull off a good ol’ switcheroo and change things up for the drama series. Earlier in the event, Sony also confirmed the PC port of Returnal. It wouldn’t surprise us if it arrives between now and March 3 to tide audiences ever until The Last of Us Part 1 is out.
